Learning Technologies 2024 the aftermath

Learning Technologies 24 for us is a wrap! Reconnecting with industry pals and gaining insights into where the industry stands in 2024 was both enlightening and a bit sobering.

After a seven-year hiatus, it's clear the industry hasn't progressed as much as anticipated. While there's no shortage of flashy learning content, platforms, and AI-driven tools for content creation, the real measure of progression lies in the solutions that tangibly transform organisations. Flashy content and tools unfortunately don't equate to real progress. Today's workforce challenges persist, and we're sceptical that AI alone can solve them.

Immersive technology took a backseat to the hype around AI, with classic safety and simulation use cases dominating. We're eager for industry leaders to boldly showcase how XR technologies can revolutionize learning beyond the usual applications. That's our mission, after all.

Overall, the show felt like a glitzy spectacle with little substance, epitomized by the cocktail bar and DJ booth at the centre of the show floor. It was flashy and noisy, but lacking in real purpose. Still, we managed to squeeze in a quick boogie.

Top prize for the busiest stand by far goes to Page Tiger. A stuffed tiger for a selfie always wins hearts and minds...

Stay tuned as we unveil our first product in the coming weeks. It's pretty cool, so keep following for updates!
